Wheat Bag Heating, Cooling, Safety & Care Instructions
Important: Read these instructions before use.
Please use care and good judgement when heating your wheat bag. As with any item heated in a microwave, heating it beyond the recommended time can cause scorching, burns or fire.
Heating Times
The following maximum heating times are based on an 800W microwave:
- 3 minutes maximum heating time for Awhi Wheat Bag (1.7kg weight, 56 x 16cm dimensions)
Reduce this heating time when using a higher-powered microwave.
Heating Your Wheat Bag Safely
- Microwave only - never heat your wheat bag in a conventional oven/airfryer.
- Remove all packaging before heating.
- Follow the heating time supplied with your particular wheat bag.
- Heat in stages. Turn the wheat bag over between stages and gently redistribute the wheat where possible.
- If further heating is required, heat in 30-second intervals without exceeding the maximum total heating time stated for your product.
- If your wheat bag is used regularly, lightly mist the fabric surface with clean water before heating. Do not soak it.
- Do not place a cup of water in the microwave with your wheat bag.
- Ensure the wheat bag can rotate freely on the microwave turntable.
- Never leave the microwave unattended while heating.
- Carefully check the temperature before placing the wheat bag against your skin. It should feel comfortably warm, not hot.
- Allow the wheat bag to cool completely on a non-combustible surface, such as the kitchen sink, before reheating or storing it.
- Never heat for longer than the recommended time.
Cooling Your Wheat Bag
- Place your wheat bag inside a clean plastic bag.
